And so, i should have learned...
When my flight to seattle got way laid in detroit, and I couldn't get to my checked luggage, I should have been prepared.

I called my family who had been on the road since early Wednesday morning, and still were not in Seattle. I smugly said, "I'm leaving for the airport. See you in a few hours." That is, if you get to Seattle first, I thought.
Sleeping in Detroit was not in the plan.
And when my luggage didn't arrive in Seattle when I did the next day, well, part of me felt like it served me right!
But I made it.
And I didn't have to walk.
And I didn't have to drive.
It's all good!

Well, we're glad you finally made it to Seattle. Karina said afterward she was bummed that you were the last person she met Friday night, and so only had a moment or two to connect. It would have been nice to sit and chat about all the Lord's been doing in our lives. . .
However, if only for a moment or two, it was good to reconnect.
Thanks, Dan. I really, really, really wished I could've been two places at once. And, I would've loved to get to know Karina a wee bit.
If you ever need a place to stay in Michigan...
oh dear. is it bad i find myself chuckling just a little bit?
completely understandable friend--not bad at all. Always glad to provide a spot of humor for the greater good!
